THE HIDDEN HAND Announces New Drummer

October 23, 2006

THE HIDDEN HAND, the band featuring hard rock guitar legend Scott "Wino" Weinrich (ST. VITUS, THE OBSESSED, SPIRIT CARAVAN),has issued the following update:

"We were a little suprised when Evan [Tanner, drums] expressed an interest in not continuing with the HAND, especially before the [new] record is out. But he really decided he had too much life responsibilities to give it his all and we respect that. His drumming on the new record, 'The Resurection of Whiskey Foote', is nothing short of incredible. His arrangement skills and songwriting contributions will be missed. Truly a great player. We are all still friends and wish him the best.

"After a little soul-searching, Wino and Bruce [Falkinburg] decided to carry on full bore and we have found our man, Mr. Matt Moulis. If anyone has ever had the experience to see MEDIC or BISON MD DC VA and Baltimore-based they will know he will bring a new, original and POTENT dynamic to the HAND. His desire and enthusiasm is so contagious we will not miss a BEAT. We are more than confident in his abilities. Wino used to gawk in awe watching him play and listening to his bands' rehearsals. We have actually realized a powerful new phase. It might seem like all this tumoil is tricky — it is, but we want nothing more than to rock. Period, and have the capabilities now for speed, technical finesse, and more of the same mid-tempo doom we all cherish. So, come the new year, we will be ready to set some shit on fire!"

THE HIDDEN HAND's last release was the "Devoid of Color" hybrid CD/DVD package, which came out last year through Southern Lord.
